After a long wait of eight years under re-construction, the taxi park was officially opened in January 2025, by the Entebbe Municipality Mayor Fabrice Rulinda.

However, months later, it is still dogged with controversy arising from how the shops were allocated and the exorbitant rental charges for the shops. Yes, “the state-of-the-art taxi park features 249 shops” as well.

This seems among issues on which NUP has dropped the ball, as far as the concerns of the people of Entebbe Municipality go.
