Kampala Queens captain Shamirah Nalugya and Uganda Martyrs Lubaga head Coach Edward Kasozi won the Finance Trust Women Super league best awards for the month of March.
During the awarding ceremony held at Twed Tower Plaza along Lugogo Bypass in Kampala, Nalugya was announced the best player of the month for her three goals and an assist in three matches she involved in during March.
To win the accolade, Nalugya overcame strong competition from team mate Zainab Nandede who statistically bettered her with three goals and two assists but the organisers looked beyond statistics.
The contest also had Uganda Martyrs Lubaga’s Latifah Nakasi but she was ranked a bit shorter to Kampala Queens duo.
On the touchline, Edward Kasozi stood the best instructor guiding his side Uganda Martyrs Lubaga to triple Maximum points from three games played in March.

Keeping his side at Maximum enabled him t lo beat off competition from Kampala Queens’ Asefa Firew Haile Gabriel and Tooro Queens’ Rogers Ayesiga.
At the events held on 29th April 2025, the awards were presented by FUFA third Vice president Honorable Florence Nakiwala Kiyingi and Chief of Business at Finance Trust Bank Andrew Agaba.
