The first edition of Hamz Rapid Chess challenge climaxed on 26th April 2025 as players left in praising the experience at Hamz Stadium Nakivubo.
Under 14 bronze medalist Phani Manasvi was the one who witnesses the special atmosphere and couldn’t fail to mention
“This is the best experience for any Chess player, the place is very cool with no distractions”
Harold Wannyama a national chess coach and also a senior player who won the main open also was stunned with the goodness of Hamz indoor games center
“We have seen stunning displays, and this is a result of playing under a beautiful atmosphere, honestly this is the best place to play chess and may be for other mind games” Wanyama noted.

The one day Chess Challenge got over 100 participants group in different age categories where they won kind Prizes and cash.
For junior challenges, Prizes like Chess Board, Television sets and medals were issued out while seniors walked off with Cash prizes and medals.
