The joy of outsmarting the entire opposition in thy midst is always unexplained in ordinary simple terms.
But rather, this is amplified with wild chants and cheering, shouting, clapping, singing, smiles, dancing and the like.
That was exactly the mood at St Mary’s College Lugazi on Holy Saturday as Mukono district sports and academics power house St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde won the 2025 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) Mukono Zone Basketball boys’ trophy.
Mukono based St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde defeated Seeta Naama 42-10 in the finals to lift the boy’s title.
“This is a humbling victory and a big achievement for the school. I thank the school management, players, coaches and our fans. We turn the focus to the nationals coming up in Bukedea district” Malcom Omondi, the team captain remarked.
The defining duel of the championship for St Cyprian High School Kyabakadde was the 35-26 victory over arch-rivals Seeta A-Level Campus during the epic semi-finals.

During the other semi-final, St Balikuddembe SS Kisoga lost 26-29 to Seeta Naama.
