Following a successful Stanbic Uganda Cup Semifinal draws held at Serena Hotel in Kampala, Kitara FC head Coach Wasswa Bbosa has made Uganda Cup tie against Vipers SC a priority over any other game.

Kitara FC will travel to St Mary’s Stadium Kitende for Stanbic Uganda Cup Semifinal first leg clash against Vipers SC during the upcoming weekend.

After knowing the Match, Bossa reacted; “Now we are only with one chance to win something this season, we are determined to defend the Uganda Cup and it is the first priority”

With less that two months to the end of the season, Kitara FC is forward to face Vipers SC on three occasions two times in Stanbic Uganda Cup and in league Once at Royal Park in Hoima.

In the first round of the League Kitara FC held Vipers SC 0-0 in Kitende and last season Kitara FC eliminated Vipers SC at the Quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.

In vaying for a slot in the final to take place at new Kadiba Stadium, the draws held on 28 April 2025 set up another tie between KCCA FC and Big league side Kataka FC.

KCCA FC Shall be at home in the first leg this weekend before travelling to Mbale in fortnight time for the return leg of the contest.

After being drawn against against the the only lower ranked side remaining in the chase, KCCA FC coach Jackson Magera had his thoughts about the tie.

 

“They are just Big league team but they have been strong enough to eliminate Premier league clubs, therefore we have to handle them gently, I call upon our fans to come and maintain our their support and I call players to work hard in this game because it is the only for us to win something ”

The draws event at Serena Hotel also grounded a platform for the FUFA 3rd Vice president Honorable Florence Nakiwala Kiyinji to confirm Kadiba Stadium as the host venue for 2024-2025 Stanbic Uganda Cup.
